Our journey began in 2018 with the announcement that Toyota will transform from a car manufacturer into a mobility company for all. With KINTO at the forefront of this mobility revolution.

We are developing intuitive and flexible mobility solutions to meet the changing needs of our society. We start in the Netherlands with car subscriptions, with the vision to further expand our services in the coming years.
For example, with rental or shared cars, but also with bicycles and public transport. So that, however you travel, there is always a KINTO solution for you. KINTO currently operates in more than 40 countries worldwide, 15 of which are in Europe.
The flying cloud
The word “KINTO” is from the Japanese “Kinto-Un,” which can be translated as “flying nimbus cloud.” Originating from Japanese mythology, this cloud transports a well-known anime character wherever he needs to be.
With this name, we emphasize both our Japanese roots, as well as our mission to take you wherever you want to go. Everything within our services and solutions should give you the experience of traveling on a flying cloud. With the same flexibility, carefree feeling and comfort to your destination.
About Louwman
KINTO is introduced to the Netherlands by Louwman. For more than 100 years, Louwman is one of the largest automotive distributors in Europe, with import companies for car brands Toyota, Lexus, Morgan and Suzuki. Motorcycles and marine engines are also well-known territory. In addition to the Netherlands, Louwman also operates in Belgium, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
Also, in addition to distributing cars, we are the largest bicycle retailer in the Netherlands and offer healthcare equipment. For us, mobility is more than just owning a car, motorcycle, wheelchair or a lease fleet. It’s about the movement and moving people forward.
