Going abroad
Taking your KINTO car abroad
Planning a holiday or a work trip? With a KINTO car subscription, you can drive carefree to many European countries. Check the list of permitted countries in our terms and conditions before you travel and make sure you’re well-prepared. Need additional documents or information? Feel free to contact us, we’re happy to help.
Roadside assistance
If your car breaks down and you can’t continue driving, first ensure the safety of yourself and your passengers. Then call our roadside assistance immediately. You’ll find the number in the app and on our contact page. Our roadside assistance is available 24/7 and will do everything possible to get you back on the road quickly.
Bring a credit card
If you break down abroad and need a replacement car, many rental companies will require a credit card as a deposit. Always carry one to avoid unexpected issues.
Drivable damage
If your car sustains damage but is still safe to drive, report it via the KINTO app. We’ll arrange for the damage to be repaired when you’re back in the Netherlands.
Watch out for low-emission zones
Many European cities have low-emission zones (LEZ). Check in advance if your destination requires an environmental sticker. You can apply for these yourself. For some stickers, you may need additional information that is not on the registration certificate. This information is available on the RDW website.
